Two Dallas Cowboys Stars Taken Off Field In Agony After Painful NFL Thanksgiving Injuries
Cowboys Stars Sidelined in Thanksgiving Heartbreak
Two Dallas Cowboys stars were forced to leave Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Buffalo Bills in agony after suffering gruesome injuries.
Micah Parsons Exits with Ankle Injury
Linebacker Micah Parsons, the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year, hobbled off the field in the second quarter after injuring his ankle on a tackle. Parsons, who had four tackles and a sack to his name before the injury, was noticeably distressed as he was assisted to the sideline.
"It's a tough one for Micah," said Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. "He's been playing at a high level all season, and this is a big loss for us."
Anthony Brown Injured by Bills Receiver
Cornerback Anthony Brown also exited the game with an injury in the second half. Brown suffered a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet collision with Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie.
"It was a scary moment," said Brown's teammate, safety Jordan Lewis. "He's a tough guy, but that was a big hit."
Cowboys Facing Roadblocks
The injuries to Parsons and Brown are the latest in a series of setbacks for the Cowboys this season. The team has lost five of its last six games and is now struggling to keep its playoff hopes alive.
"We're going through some tough times right now," said Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. "But we're not going to give up. We're going to keep fighting."
Severity of Injuries Uncertain
The severity of Parsons' and Brown's injuries is still being evaluated. Both players will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the damage.
The Cowboys are scheduled to face the New Orleans Saints next Thursday in a crucial game for their playoff aspirations.
